I love Russian children!

Russian children are way too cute! Last night a few of us went to an english class for middle schoolers and helped teach. We're supposed to go back next week and I'm soo exicted! They kept giving us food and chocolate(I now have a plethora of all sorts of Russian chocolate yay!) I was almost glad that it was a really long walk to get to the school burned off some of the pastries. lol The funniest part was that they all asked the same questions to each of us, so I think that they have an assignment about us. They made us look really bad because their english was so much better than our russian, and some of them are leraning other languages aswell! I'm attempting to figure out how to post photos so hopefully my next post will have pictures!

Gorgeousness!

I have officially begun my exploration of St. Pete today(before now it was just wandering and trying not to get lost along the way). Right by the dorms is Kazanskii Sobor, a very giant cathedral, It was absolutley gorgeous inside! Everything inside was very peaceful and quiet. Then Vika(my tutor) took me further down Nevskii Prospekt and showed me some of the more important places. In all honesty we didn't really go very far but everything was so pretty! Today is the first day we've had with blue sky and sunshine so everything seems much better than it was before. I'll get some pictures up here soon, just as soon as i figure out how to post them! lol) Now I am going to attempt to go back to the dorms and not freeze!

Dear God I'm Actually in Russia!

Well I made it! I honestly I still haven't really been hit that I am in St. Petersburg of all places. lol I very much doubt that I could have imagined it yo be any more than it is. Well to sum up my experiences so far I will say one thing, Its COLD! Well up until today it was just kinda cold, but apparently the weather decided that the temp needed to drop into the negatives. So I've been freezing all day today. I'm in the dorms right now, but am probably going to move into a homestay(either this weekend or the next) so wish me luck! I suppose the biggest news of the week is that My computer screen smashed on the way over here so I haven't been able to get to the internet very often yet, but I just found out that we can use the computers in the library for free! I am going to try my best to get this blog really going but I am really bad about updating and/or writing any kind of diary. But I promise to try! Love you all!
